Faraday's Pails consist of a set of four nesting aluminum cylindrical containers, each fitted with insulating feet. The individual vessel sizes are: 150 mm diameter x 120 mm high, 120 mm diameter x 110 mm high, 90 mm diameter x 90 mm high, and 75 mm diameter x 75 mm high. The nesting design allows the pails to be used in electrostatic charge demonstrations, including Faraday's ice pail experiment, which illustrates the principles of electrostatic induction and charge distribution. The insulating feet prevent charge leakage to the work surface during experiments.
