Product Description

This copper voltameter consists of three copper plates mounted in an insulated cover over a glass jar. When immersed in copper sulfate solution and connected across a current source, the apparatus demonstrates electrodeposition of copper at the cathode. A classic piece of apparatus for introducing electrochemistry, Faraday's laws of electrolysis, and coulometry in physics and chemistry classrooms.
