Product Description

This reel of 20 SWG (19 AWG) nichrome resistance wire is approximately 90 feet long with a 0.036-inch diameter. The wire is a low-nickel (0.5%) high-iron alloy of nichrome (0.5% Ni, 15% Cr, 4% Al, balance Fe), with a maximum operating temperature of 1150°C and density of 6.74 g/cm³. Electrical resistivity at 20°C is 1.26 mm²/m. Lengths are derived from diameter, density, and mass. Suitable for science experiments, hot wire foam cutters, ceramics support structures, and other applications requiring high-temperature wire. For laboratory use only.
