The wire is a low-nickel (0.5%), high-iron alloy composed of 0.5% Ni, 15% Cr, 4% Al, with the balance being Fe. It has a maximum operating temperature of 1150°C and an electrical resistivity of 1.27 ohm-mm²/m at 20°C. Density is 6.74 g/cm³.
