Turbidity Tube with Secchi Disc, 120cm Scale

This turbidity tube with Secchi disc measures water clarity by allowing a sample to be filled, then drained until the alternating black and white quadrant pattern of the Secchi disc at the bottom becomes visible from the top. The water height is recorded using the 120cm scale printed on the outside of the tube. The tube is made from shatter-resistant plastic fitted with a clamped drainage hose and a heavy rubber stopper with the Secchi disc pattern at the bottom. A Hoffman clip on the hose controls drainage flow. The tube measures 51" tall x 2" in diameter. Includes a manual with background and usage instructions. Suitable for measuring water clarity in ponds, lakes, streams, groundwater, and oceans.
