60cm Turbidity Tube with Secchi Disk

The Turbidity Tube with Secchi Disc is designed for measuring the clarity and water quality of ponds, lakes, streams, groundwater, and oceans. Constructed from shatter-resistant plastic, the tube is fitted with a heavy rubber stopper housing a secchi disk at the bottom and a flexible drainage hose with a Hoffman clip for controlled draining. Operation is straightforward: fill the tube with a water sample, then slowly drain it by loosening the Hoffman clip on the hose. Once the alternating black and white quadrant pattern of the secchi disk becomes visible from the top, record the water height using the scale printed on the outside of the tube. The tube measures 24.3 inches tall with a 2-inch diameter. A manual with background information and detailed instructions for use is included with the instrument.
