Turbidity Tube with Secchi Disc, 60cm Scale

The Turbidity Tube with Secchi Disc is designed for measuring the clarity and water quality of ponds, lakes, streams, groundwater, and oceans. It consists of a shatter-resistant plastic tube fitted with a clamped drainage hose and a rubber stopper with a secchi disk at the bottom. The tube features a 60cm scale printed on its exterior for recording water clarity readings. To use the instrument, fill the tube with a water sample, then slowly drain it by loosening the Hoffman clip on the hose. When the alternating black and white quadrant pattern of the secchi disk becomes visible from the top, record the water height from the printed scale. The tube measures 26.3 inches tall with a 2-inch diameter. This instrument is suitable for professional water quality assessment as well as field studies in ecology and environmental science.
