This electrostatic friction rod kit includes 3 cloth squares (wool, cotton, and silk) and 3 rods (glass, ebonite, and Perspex/acrylic). The kit provides the tools to generate both positive and negative static charges through friction.
Students can experiment with different cloth and rod combinations to explore how each material generates charge carriers and which combinations produce the strongest charges. A detailed experiment guide with suggested experiments and troubleshooting tips is included.
