Product Description

These mounted resistance coils consist of four lengths of copper wire and one length of copper-nickel wire coiled around a divided wooden spool. The copper wires include 22 gauge 10m, 22 gauge 20m, 28 gauge 10m, and 28 gauge 20m lengths. The copper-nickel wire is 22 gauge at 10m. The spool is mounted on a lightweight base with 6 binding posts. Labels indicate each wire's type, length, and gauge. To measure resistance, connect the coils to a Wheatstone bridge, digital ohmmeter, or multimeter. The 2:1 length ratios simplify computation in resistance comparison experiments.
