Product Description

The Eisco Labs Standard Rheostat provides 300 ohms of resistance with a maximum current rating of 0.9A, suitable for controlling current in student physics and electrical experiments. The resistance element is wound from heavily oxidized constantan (copper-nickel alloy) wire on a vitreous enameled steel tube and supported on die-cast ends for long service life. A heavy-duty phosphor bronze sliding contact, nickel plated for corrosion resistance, delivers smooth and reliable resistance adjustment. Two 4mm terminal posts accept standard 4mm plugs for quick external connection.
