Product Description

This standard rheostat provides a resistance of 280 Ohms with a maximum current rating of 1.2A. The resistance wire is heavily oxidized constantan (copper-nickel alloy) wound on a vitreous enameled steel tube supported by die-cast end pieces. A heavy-duty sliding contact made of phosphor bronze, nickel-plated for corrosion resistance, allows for smooth resistance adjustment. Two 4mm terminal posts facilitate connection via standard 4mm plugs.
