Standard Rheostat, 37Ω, 3.2A Max

The Eisco Labs Standard Rheostat features a resistance of 37 Ohms with a maximum current capacity of 3.2A. The resistance wire is heavily oxidized constantan (copper-nickel alloy) wound on a vitreous enameled steel tube. A heavy-duty sliding contact made of phosphor bronze, nickel plated for corrosion resistance, provides smooth and reliable adjustment. Three binding post terminals allow connection as either a rheostat or potentiometer. The robust construction withstands frequent classroom use, making this rheostat suitable for physics experiments involving variable resistance, voltage division, and current control.
