This 125 ohm air-cooled rheostat features a maximum current rating of 1.6A. The unit is wound with oxidized constantan wire on a vitreous enameled tube measuring 300 x 44mm. A sliding contact carriage on the slide bar carries a phosphor bronze contact for long life. Three binding posts provide electrical connections (one at each end of the winding plus one at the end of the slide bar).
Suitable for laboratory demonstrations of variable resistance in electrical circuits.
