Extended-Range Rheostat, 200 x 44mm, Model H

This extended-range rheostat provides variable resistance from 0 to 25 ohms with a maximum current rating of 5 amps. The construction follows the same specification as the standard range (PH1150), with oxidized constantan wire wound on a vitreous-enameled tube measuring 200 x 44mm. A sliding contact carriage mounted on the slide bar carries a phosphor bronze contact for long life. Three binding posts provide electrical connections: one at each end of the winding and one at the end of the slide bar. Suitable for physics experiments requiring higher current capacity, including motor speed control, lamp dimming, and variable resistance demonstrations.
