One-Meter Four-Gap Wheatstone Bridge with Brass Strips

The Eisco One Meter Wheatstone Bridge is a four-gap meter bridge designed for precise measurement of unknown electrical resistance using the classic Wheatstone bridge principle. It features heavily plated brass strips mounted securely on a polished hardwood base, with a one-meter resistance wire marked in millimeter graduations for detailed measurement and fine adjustment. Five terminal posts accommodate resistors and a power source, while two additional brass strips allow the central gaps to be eliminated as needed. A robust jockey with lead and a sprung storage clip is included for making precise sliding contact along the resistance wire. A measuring meter is built into the baseboard for convenient reading. The apparatus supports instruction in Ohm's Law, circuit balancing, series and parallel circuits, and bridge circuit analysis, making it well suited for high school and college physics curricula.
