50mm Spark Induction Coil, 11.5 x 7 x 6"

This induction coil produces 50mm sparks and provides very high voltages (several tens of thousands of volts) from a DC source. The unit operates on a step-up transformer principle with a primary winding of a few tens of turns and a secondary winding of hundreds of thousands of turns. A shaker (electromagnetic bell) cuts the primary current to produce permanent sparks. The unit includes the coil, 2 spark rods, shaker, reversing switch, on/off button, and power sockets. Requires a 9-12V / 5A maximum DC power supply (not included). The induction coil measures 11.5 inches wide, 7 inches long, and 6 inches tall, with each spark rod measuring 5.25 inches long and 2.25 inches wide. Suitable for physics demonstrations and high-voltage experiments.
