AC/DC Motor Generator Demonstrator (Shunt and Series)

This demonstration motor generator illustrates both shunt wound and series wound configurations and can operate with AC or DC power supplies. Similar in concept to a St. Louis Motor, it can function as a magneto, series motor, shunt motor, series generator, or shunt generator. The kit includes a 2-pole armature, commutator, brushes, a coil for use as an electromagnet, and a powerful horseshoe magnet. The motor is easily dismantled to change configurations. The assembled apparatus measures 3.5" x 5.5" x 7" and weighs approximately 1.2 lbs. A low-voltage AC/DC power supply is required but not included.
