Prepared Tryptic Soy Agar, 200mL Bottle, 24-Pack

This case of 24 bottles contains 200mL each of Tryptic Soy Agar (TSA), a general-purpose, non-selective prepared growth medium used to grow, maintain, and study a wide variety of non-fastidious and moderately fastidious bacteria. Each bottle makes approximately 16 to 20 standard 100mm petri dishes, and can also be used to prepare culture tube slants. Preparation is straightforward: heat the bottle until the medium is fully liquefied, pour into petri dishes or culture tubes, and allow it to cool and harden. The TSA comes premixed in narrow-mouth bottles for mess-free pouring and convenient storage. This medium is suitable for a range of microbiology experiments and science projects, from basic skill-building to surface swab studies comparing microbial populations.
