Standing Wave Demonstrator Kit, Alternate Model - Visual Scientifics

This Visual Scientifics components kit provides the materials needed to build a standing wave demonstrator experiment. Students explore wave interference patterns, wavelength relationships, and the physics of standing waves on a vibrating string. The kit includes a wave generator, mountable pulley, and string. A laboratory manual and student worksheet describe experiments covering approximately 2-3 hours of classroom time, aligned with Common Core Standards and Next Generation Science Standards. The Visual Scientifics Magnetic Base (PHVSBASE) is required and sold separately. Additional recommended components not included: backboard (PHVSBACK), 2-3 ring stand posts, meter stick, 2 AA batteries, DC voltage power supply, right-angle clamp, banana plug wires, and small masses such as paper clips.
