This Eisco Labs Open Type Economy Rheostat serves as either a series resistor or potentiometer. Oxidized constantan wire is wound on a pipe for reliable insulation, and three 4mm socket terminals are provided for flexible circuit connections. The supports are made from molded ABS plastic.
The open-type slide wire design allows for smooth, continuous resistance adjustment. This rheostat is suitable for physics experiments involving variable resistance, voltage division, and current control in educational and laboratory settings.
