This 74-piece VSEPR molecular model set is designed for demonstrating Valence Shell Electron Pair Repulsion theory, which is used to predict the shapes of molecules. The set includes enough parts to build eight atomic model configurations: linear, bent, trigonal planar, pyramidal, tetrahedral, trigonal bipyramidal, and octahedral. The set contains one each of carbon, oxygen, nitrogen, sulfur, phosphorus, chlorine (4 holes), boron, and metal beryllium atoms, along with seven chlorine (1 hole) atoms, six fluorine atoms, thirteen hydrogen atoms, six circular lone pair orbitals, twenty-six pear-shaped bonds, and eight short bonds. All parts are neatly organized in a 9.25 x 6.75 x 1.5-inch storage case. An instructional booklet is included.
