Simple Machines Screw Model

This wooden simple machine demonstrates the operating principles of a screw using a sturdy wood and particle board construction designed for classroom use. A large block mounted around the head of the screw provides additional leverage, allowing students to crack eggs or compress objects with ease. The square top makes it simple to measure the rotational distance of the screw versus the linear distance traveled into the base board. The base measures 7.5 inches by 4 inches by 4 inches tall, and the screw top measures 1 7/8 inches square. Includes an instruction manual.
