4x Life-Size Starfish Anatomy Anatomical Model

This starfish anatomy model is approximately 4x life-size and features three separate parts with hand-painted detail mounted on a sturdy polymer base. Three arms show progressive stages of dissection — from intact organs to removal of the hepatic caeca and gonads (revealing ampullae, Polian vesicles, and the ring ambulacral vessel) to full exposure of the nervous system with nerve ring and radial nerve. A fourth arm shows a cross-sectional view, and the intact fifth arm displays external features including tube feet, optic organs, and pedicellariae. Key internal structures are highlighted, including the two stomachs, madreporic canal, and madreporite, and each numbered feature corresponds to an identification key. The model measures 18 x 8 x 16 inches (46 x 20 x 41 cm) and weighs approximately 3 lbs. Well suited to high school through undergraduate invertebrate anatomy classes, marine biology programs, and laboratory display.
